Soul Search

This short film is inspired by the avant-garde and was made to provoke and promote reflective thought of self, realization of self and knowledge of self. It is about introspection, which basically means self-reflection and more specifically the reporting of conscious inner thoughts, desires and sensations. It is a conscious mental and usually purposive process relying on thinking, reasoning and examining one's own thoughts, feelings and in more spiritual cases, one's soul. It can also be called contemplation of one's self, and is contrasted with extrospection, the observation of things external to one's self.

Often times in life we as individuals are too caught up with the tolls and responsibilities that we forget about ourselves. We forget to look at ourselves in the mirror and both reflect and realise who and how we are. Being constantly pressured and affected by things like work and relationships, being too focused and engrossed with the external, we inevitably forget about the internal, and ultimately fail to realise that the very truth and answers we pursuit everyday is actually within rather than outside of us. Through the understanding, realization and reflection of self, we would be able to better comprehend who are, what we want and so many more things, thus allowing us to live a better-directed, purposeful and fulfilling life.
